You may live in a house, but your home is in the stable. There is a unique bond between a horse and its rider. If you enter competitions with your horse, you will know that bond becomes vital if you’re to achieve success.
I can create a photographic record of competition events, but visually striking and memorable though they may be, these are essentially snapshots in time and they are somehow quite ‘incomplete’ in terms of expressing your special relationship with your horse.
To truly convey the intimacy between you and your horse and capture its true personality in moments of work, rest or play, a bespoke commission can create a beautiful collection of lasting memories.
If you’d like to commission a photo shoot, or just chat about your ideas, I will always be delighted to hear from you.
Initial discussion typically covers specific locations, how you want to look and what you would like to wear. Once agreed, I’ll come to you at your home, stable, or farm and capture the true character of your horse and that special connection in relaxed natural surroundings far removed from the pressures of competition.
Images can be relaxed and informal, or more obviously posed if you prefer – some riders select a combination of the two. After all, it’s also supposed to be fun, for both of you!
After the photo shoot I’ll supply digital ‘contact sheets’ from which you can shortlist your preferred images. I’ll normally review the images with you and help select those you wish to have as a ‘coffee table’ album and those images to be created as personally signed framed prints. View album & print details.
